This musical offering is designed to support each child’s natural rhythm, curiosity, and joy through songs, movement, body rhythm, and imaginative play — all within Play Matters’ whimsical outdoor play space!

Rather than a structured class, this experience is an invitation to explore music and movement during the full stay & play experience. Children are free to explore sound, rhythm, and movement in ways that feel natural to them, with music woven softly into the morning and guided by the children’s ideas and excitement.
During our music time, we’ll:
✨ Begin with a simple sing-along and invitation to move
✨ Follow the children’s interests through rhythm and playful exploration
✨ Gently connect sound, movement, and imagination

On Friday March 13th, 2026 children with special and sensory needs, their families, and their friends are invited to join us for an evening of dancing and museum play from 5pm – 6:30pm. Do the Shamrock Shimmy!

36th Annual Kids Day: America, the Beautiful
Kids Day is a festival geared to families of young children. A fun day of activities for kids and their families, it is also a health and resources fair with providers on hand to share information. The target group is children 12 and younger and their parents. Kids Day has been a favorite Rancho Cordova special event for more than three decades. This year, we are celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the country, focusing on the beauty around us with “America, the Beautiful.”
